There are some rather tight chicanes on the footbridge here, which make it difficult to cross as a cyclist, especially if you have a trailer, tandem or tagalong. Wheelchair users will also have difficulty. The chicanes should be removed.

The electric bridge could also be permanently opened for cyclists, whilst maintaining the closure to motor vehicles, by replacing the gates with collapsible bollards.
